7 Tools to Help Soulful Entrepreneurs Launch Successful Businesses

WRITTEN BY MICHELE PARAD and HILARY PRIMACK

Are you unsure what tools you need to help provide structure for your new or growing business? After conducting extensive competitive research, we compiled a list of software that we have found to be the most helpful and effective to adopt. By having the right systems, tools and strategy in place, you can greatly streamline your time and run elements of your business on autopilot so you can get back to the core tasks of your genius. These tools help you develop the masculine container for your business, which, once in place, can allow for the feminine creative energy to flow more seamlessly.

Keap - Marketing automation

Keap is your one stop shop for marketing and sales tools designed for small businesses: it integrates email marketing, invoicing, public forms/landing pages, order forms, CRM, calendar, analytics in a seamless way. When you really start to grow your email list and become more sophisticated in messaging and targeting, then a basic mailchimp or other email provider may not give you the breadth of features and segmentation you may need.

Some similar tools are Activecampaign, HubSpot Marketing Hub but they are not specifically designed to meet all the needs of small businesses and you may find yourself buying additional tools to compensate.

Planoly - Social Media Planning

Planoly is a unique social media scheduling tool because it allows you to visually plan and schedule your Instagram posts. It has a clean design, making it easy for users to drag and drop their photos and videos around to see how it will look like on their Instagram profile feed. Planoly saves you time by letting you plan and schedule all Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook content at once.

We like the aesthetic interface and that it’s simple to use. Their newsletter is worth subscribing to because they send a lot of great tips and templates you can snag. Related social media tools are Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and Tailwind, but they don’t let you visually plan your posts so you can see how the whole feed appears stylistically.

Typeform - Questionnaire Tool

If you’re looking for a way to capture information about your potential customers or engage with them, creating a quiz or survey in Typeform is the way to go. It lets you create high quality people-friendly forms, which are customizable and can integrate with your overall marketing and communication plan. You can use Typeform to create personalized experiences for your customers, build brand identity and boost your lead generation. Wellbeing Marketing currently has two quizzes in Typeform - purpose archetype and wheel of life assessment to engage prospects depending on their current interests and provide them with ways that they can learn more deeply about themselves and where to focus going forward.

Some similar tools are Jotform, Zoho Forms, and Survey Monkey but in our experience, they are not as robust and aren’t as easily branded.

WebinarKit - webinar Funnel

Similar to On24, Bizzabo, Livestream, WebinarJam, and Easywebinar, WebinarKit lets you host webinars at a bargain price and it has all the same features including being able to host the webinar, communicate with your registrants/attendees and boost conversations through call to action and links to checkout pages - simplifying the sales and marketing processes. We use it to run the funnel to our mastermind and provide more information about the type of transformation one would have inside the program. In the future, we plan to also run our evergreen masterclasses through the tool.

Notion - Project Management

Notion is the one tool you need to really orgainze your business. It has all of the workspace features you need in one spot. Notion combines notes, docs, project management, and wikis - plus it is customizable. Additionally, it saves you time by having all of the tools for your business in one spot.

No need for excel (tables are easily created), so you can see all the departments of your business in one place. You can easily show quarterly, annual goals and create a dashboard similar to what you’d see in a marketing automation tool or CRM. I have compiled a custom marketing strategy document that helps you align your KPIs with your to-do list and target your audience in the most proficient way. We also have our whole client portal setup on Notion where we keep track of client work and share files with them all in one space.

Chipbot - Customer Service Bot

If you’re looking for a solution to make customer service personalized, Chipbot is your tool. It is a user support bot that lives on your website, and follows your user on every page. Allowing you to provide insights, personalized videos, and specific call-to-actions for your users which can overall helps boost your sales.

It is a great way to personalize something that seems otherwise impersonal when you add interactive videos. Also, since Chipbot collects information on customer support and insights, it provides you with robust analytics on your customers. Giving you better insight into who your customers are and how you can reach them. Some similar tools are Drift, Terminus ABM Platform, and Zendesk.

Creative Market - Graphic Design Templates

Creative Market is a platform for independent creatives to sell their designs and templates. You can get design help for marketing assets including creating graphics for social media, websites, newsletters, billing templates, etc. Creative Market is a great tool to get high quality graphic design templates without having to spend the time trying to make them yourself or hire a graphic designer.

I’ve used it for pricing and services PDF templates, client proposal templates, and social media templates and it is great for people who may want landing page templates too. A few similar tools are Etsy, Adobe FF Market, Upwork, and Template Train.

While these tools can greatly improve your marketing and sales efforts and overall organization, they may be only one piece of the puzzle to running a successful business. You may still need to understand when to purchase what, how to optimize the use of these tools based on your goals, and how to analyze their performance and iterate for you to really make the most of them.
